RE:RE:RE:RE:Sold most of my shares.... Easier to sell and then buybackIf they convert to Cenovus Preferreds, I don't expect them to redeem. If they remained Husky Preferreds in a subsidary, then I would expect them to redeem....... As I understand, they are being converted to Cenovus Preferreds.
I haven't heard of any Preferreds taking legal action, so no word if redemption will happen that way.
As Cenovus Preferreds, I expect a slow grind up with pull backs here and there.
With the New Covid Virus Strain, I have little faith in our government containing it, if it's here. Current Covid-19 is doing a number on the economy, the New Covid Strain they say transmit even more easily.
Although the "merger" makes sense, and for the Preferreds even more sense (getting Cenovus Equity added).... I still feel like my rights were taken away from me ($25/share) and I felt like I was being forced/pushed towards converting into Cenovus Preferreds.
I think I have time to decide what to do.... No that wasn't me on the E's and G's today.
I still maintain a small holding of Preferred and Commons... Just to see what happens and keep me anchored to Husky/Cenovus. I have a bad habit of taking my eyes off a stock if I'm not in it, only to return and see it double or triple or quadruple.
Again, all just my opinion/view/thinking...... It changes as new "news" and "events" happen.
Recent Events: Jan 1 expected transaction completion (possible BS with Tranmittal), New Covid Strain, New Lock Downs....etc.... moved me to step off for a little while.
