RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Sold most of my shares.... Easier to sell and then buyback

RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Sold most of my shares.... Easier to sell and then buybackTrading costs minimal, but YES Capital Gain is going to be a Doozy, and I have no Losses to offset the Gain.   I didn't know what the Process involved and company suddenly announced Jan 1 as expected date of completion.   That was much earlier than I expected.

I then started digging to see what the "process" may involve.  "Letter of Transmittal" I came across before, and someone else mentioned it on this board, but at that time I didn't pay too much attention...so I went back to try to read it more carefully.    I found it hard to understand, but I got the impression that maybe I would need to fill this thing out.....

That was my primary reason for selling, which seems to be a false reason, mistake....but time was of the essense I thought to act given the Jan 1 date.....so I quickly sold.

As mention, there were other recent events/non-events that now that I sold, give reason not to quickly buy back..... Wait till Cenovus Preferreds are trading.

All just my opinion/mistake/view.

Yes, it's going to cost me on the Capital Gain..  Nothing I can do, it's done already.
