CDNSAre sadly not much different than their counterparts in the US. Trump's base remains
loyal to the bitter end now matter what abuses of office and threats to democracy he
poses or commits. Cdns keep voting for a leader who loves to bask in the cloak of
popularism and the idealogical flavour of environmentalism with complete disregard
to how and where the money is to come from to support its population.
Steering Canada to economic suicide seems to pose no problem for JT and those who
keep voting for him. Canada has only its resources to offer to the world in exhange for a decent
standard of living but our leadership seems bent on killing that source of wealth in exchange
for some handshakes and photo ops. There is nothing wrong with reducing GHG levels,
but it needs to be done intelligently without disrupting whole segments of our economy.
A little bit of gradulism would go a lot further in terms of idealolgy than savaging the very
economic base that is the very source of our wealth. Going green is an admirable goal
but like a parasite that eats its host, eventually it destroys what is keeping it alive.
