Three rallies for the price of one.I always like this time of year in the markets. Much has been said about the Santa Claus rally. And yes, for those of you who don't know about it it is a real thing approximately 79% of the time since 1950. But it's my observation that there has been very little talk about the two mini rallies that follow the Santa Claus rally. It begins with the Santa Claus rally - stocks bump up a bit before New year's.. the next mini rally is the drunk rally - which occurs around New years Eve. Stocks tend to settle during this period. Shortly after New year's day - approximately three days past New year's day -the remorse rally kicks in and most investors will say to themselves- what the hell was I thinking! -and the stock will take a dump.
