NorthPropsector ...  You should rather go see the p/e of Tesla (1593) with 495,000 car produced since its inception.  Unsutainable!

VW has sold 11M cars last year alone.  There has been 70M cars sold in 2019 worldwide.  So when all these car manufacturers all make their moves into the EV market ni bring them in the market, TESLA's market shares will diminish over time as more players will share the total number of EV cars.  There won't be more EV cars in the future than there has been combustion engine cars recently. It's just the one technology will decline at the expense of the other.

For now, Tesla has the first mover advantage even though Toyota has sold more electric/hybrid cars (1.9M worldwide) than Tesla worldwide (489,000).
