Energy Oil & Gas Midstream

Enbridge Inc. is an energy transportation and distribution company. The Company operates through five business segments: Liquids Pipelines, Gas Transmission and Midstream, Gas Distribution and Storage, Renewable Power Generation, and Energy Services. Liquids Pipelines consists of pipelines and terminals in Canada and the United States that transport and export various grades of crude oil and other liquid hydrocarbons. Gas Transmission and Midstream consists of its investments in natural gas pipelines and gathering and processing facilities in Canada and the United States. Gas Distribution and Storage consists of its natural gas utility operations. Renewable Power Generation consists of investments in wind and solar assets, geothermal, waste heat recovery, and transmission assets. Energy Services provides physical commodity marketing, logistics services, and energy marketing services. The Company owns Aitken Creek Gas Storage facility and Aitken Creek North Gas Storage facility.

I just hope enb has better earnings than KEY. That was so disappointing today. Add stock manipulation to that and it becomes a bloodbath

The bottom line is that KXL is not needed in the US if Line 3 goes ahead.

From a Canadian perspective...once Line 3 is completed and that combined with the pipeline to BC...all the current oil shipped by rail can be absorbed into these pipelines and that will change the math significantly for Alberta oil producers.

That said...I do fully support the view that those on the far left that seem to think that if you stop a piepline you reduce oil demand is simply silly and such policies are nothing less than stupid...the key to this is actually quite simple...

1...provide incentives for the production of alternative energy and associated infrastructure and technology to make their production more cost effective..

2....provide measures for the conservation of energy through tax incentives and regulations...eg...rebates to better insulate your home.....make it cheaper for people to use public transit and more expensive to drive your car to work like they do in Europe...etc....
