I know buyers that would have CU as an autobuy at $48 per share (1.8x regulated assets base). If they were to put themselves for sale, they would get at least that, likely more (as multiple parties would bid at that price). The cheapest transactions happening are at 1.9x regulated assets base, with the average going at 2.0x regulated assets base.
However, I don't think ATCO wants to sell its portion of CU and they own 58%. Still, CU is trading well below its market value.
