RE:Is this a good or even great copper stock?I bought in a couple of weeks ago. I was despairing of being able to find a copper stock after selling my Capstone (bought for 0.56, sold in Nov for $1.78, now $4.00). Libero seemed to fit the bill. It had done a well timed strategic consolidation,, essentially creating a new company, with a collection of porphory Cu/Au deposits. If the results from the April+ Esreranza drilling are good the company will be able to raise money in dollars instead of pennies a share. The property looks promising. With a good effort they souuld get more of the same---some high grade, some low grade, more near surface mineralization and some deeper mineralization as they drill deeper. I think they have some other targets on the property..
I was very impressed with the management. So impressed that I wondered if they had the experience they said they did. So I checked them out on Yahoo search and Linked In. They are who they say they are. CEO Ian Harris worked 5 years and 2 months for Corriente a gigantic deposit in Ecuador which was sold for $660 million (I believe). Libero has a project just across thje border from it in Columbia which they are preparing for drilling. Maybe that is in line for drilling next year.
I wouldn't diss their Big Red project in the Golden Triangle. Many years ago, when Imperial got 1000M of 1% copper Red Chris I thought their would be a copper play in the area and I bought into Strategic Metals which has the GK property to the East of Big Red. The area seems to be laced with copper and gold. You don't know what they could find there.
I hope this helped.------MisterMarket
