Why the Goldman entity sold for 1.00

Why the Goldman entity sold for 1.00The Goldman   entity  may be  winding  up  ;   to  realize    a  tax  loss   whose   value   could   be significant; there   were   no  buyers   above   zero  considering the  termination costs  to  oust  current management ; PPR ,s  loan   will  not   be  extended  and  in Goldman.s estimation the  equity    is worth   zero  ;  Goldman  plan   to  buy   the  debt   from  the  bank   at  a  discount   and  that   gives   them   a bite  at   all  the  equity   if put  in  receivership.   Any  or  all  of  the above COULD be  true   but   it  is  pure  speculation on  my part.
