RE:BIO PET - so what?.....ohhhhhh.........
RE:BIO PET - so what?.....ohhhhhh.........This should open up many opportunities. Most companies have ESG poliices that have targets to reduce their impact on the environment.
Take Lolaws for example; Galen Weston, in a letter to customers stated: "
we bring new energy to the old “Three R’s” – reducing, recycling, and reusing plastics." They are committed to dealing with plastics. So if there were to use this product, they could reduce the amount of plastic they use within the packaging by 30%. Thats huge. To me it looks like a very easy way to reduce their carbon footprint
"Correct me if I'm wrong, but this should open quite a few opportunities for potential customers." dileas48s wrote: I admit that I did not understand the significance of the press release earlier this week.
When I read it, it felt a little bit like a step in the wrong direction. A bit of research has cleared things up for me.
First, here's a link to quick guide on recycling:
https://millerrecycling.com/plastics-recycling-numbers/ Next, On the GDNP FAQ page scroll down and select the option:
'What is Bio-PET?' https://goodnaturedproducts.ca/pages/faq If I understand correctly, this now enables GDNP's product to be stamped with a '1' symbol, where previously this was not the case. Meaning, the product is now far more accessible to blue box programs everywhere
Correct me if I'm wrong, but this should open quite a few opportunities for potential customers.
