Message from GBR mgt ?
Message from GBR mgt ?Chris Taylor and his sidekick Knox Henderson are constantly reporting results of drilling to all of us. The words and phrases they use are sometimes quite repetitive. The TSX exchanges -the main one. or the Venture exchange don't want mgt of any company hyping their stock. Early on Chris and the brains of the mob Bob Singh brought their drill results -which are from a location just down the road from Gold Corp's Red Lake mine- to Rob McEwen founder of Gold CORP and asked for Rob's opinion . Rob responded and told us MUX investors the same thing which was - I have seen this movie before and I know how it comes out. In case we MUX stockholders were too dense to get the msg -Rob said -this is the Goldcorp story PART 2.
Rob bought 14 million shares of GBR in case anyone missed his message. He bought a pile of GBR for Mux also but in a cash crunch had to sell them.
If you spend any time listening to Rob you will hear him say we knew we had something at Red Lake but it was not enrirely clear until we drilled deep and found the richest part of the deposit.
Why does that old story matter ? Chris T is CONSTANTLY telling us GBR's DEPOSIT runs from the bed rock surface ( 8 meters from the crushed rock over burden surface- it used to be a gravel pit) right down to 500 m below ground which is about the furthest drill depth so far . Rob, Darren Wagner former head of Balmoral and others have repeatedly said deposits in the Q and Ontario areas run richest at the 1000 m drill mark or lower.
At the time GoldCorp found Red Lake it had a $50 mil market cap and when Rob left it had grown to $50 Billion. We face much more than that as an upside. How is that ? Chris T tells us that this GBR bedrock surface deposit at Dixie reminds him of HEMLO -a 21 MIL AU OZ producer- but that Dixie given the LP fault deposit length is MUCH bigger than Hemlo.
Also Chris has repeatedly apologized for not drilling Dixie deeper; but given that GBR is currently swamped with rich drill results, we shareholders can easily forgive that issue.
I see GBR eventually mining this deposit itself given that a VERY rich open pit option exists and biggies may not want to pay near full value for what they know is there. Eventually growing to a plus $50 Billion market cap will be easy to take and given the near surface Dixie rich gold deposit , not too hard for mgtmt to achieve.
