It's added exposure and legitmacy.  It's not a huge deal and you are at the mercy of rebalancing of the ETF from time to time. 

One would have thought those 10M shares were harder to come by but it obviously gave a few larger holders an chance to exit.  Gold "should" be stronger than it has been but isn't - i can see a few funds a bit nervous about that and wanting to just take their profit and move on in the case of MOZ.  It's across the gold world.  I'm seeing EDV, pulling in a whack of cash at present gold prices and still getting pummelled.  They just instigated a share buy-back program on top of their first issued dividend.  and no on seems to care.
