Like this cuprite, a #copper soft, heavy, red oxide mineral (Cu2O) and minor copper ore often formed by the weathering of copper sulfide minerals, cuprite is widespread as brilliant crystals, grains, or earthy masses in the oxidized zone of copper lodes.
