The main item that scares me in this acquisition is the "What If's"...

what if the US doesn't legalize (legalization looks to be a ways away). This will prevent CGC from sending product south. 

they currently have a 10% ownership in TER with the option to acquire more which is great but it will come at a huge cost

what if NY proceeds with current plan of grandfathering in existing medical suppliers only. Canopy is not one of those suppliers currently and therefore may not be able to have growing capabilities, wholesale and retail all operating there as a result

what if what schumer actually says is true and their legislation is meant to keep alcohol and tobacco out and therefore constellation (STZ which is the main player behind canopy) is squeezed out which reduces funding. 

so much to consider with this acquisition. Some good, some bad, some potentially back breaking. Hopefully there is some good movement in Congress soon which allows clarity for the direction we can move in
