Don't expect some SEPTA contract soonHello to all,
Don't expect some SEPTA contract soon. SEPTA has to to get their operating costs in order first before investing in capital costs, so, i would not expect any large contract from SEPTA until November 2021 but next week they will release their proposed capital budget and hopefully they will have something for GSI, if they do...... From that budget, They have to create a procurement tender call which would normally take at least 3 months to go public, then a minimum of a month to two months to publically tender then another month to review the tenders. After that SEPTA would have to seek approval from the Board and that would take another month to get that approval. So if we arein the Capital budget then we would probably get an award by November or December. I believe GSI is a strong contender for being awarded large contracts from any large transit companies but it will not happen on the short term due to the pandemics. All potential public transit companies are all in the same boat as SEPTA so i am enclosing an article from The Enquirer. read carefully.
