RE:Check out news today at PAII don't consider the ITSS a good product, but they still do manage to sell some of it too. Recall the news back in January.
https://bc.ctvnews.ca/one-b-c-school-district-considers-mass-covid-19-screening-for-students-1.5275690 Frankly, it's impressive enough that they managed to sell it to at least one retail store and some school buses. Remember that businesses all over have seen massive cash burns because of covid, you'd need to have really strong evidence for businesses to justify spending money on it. How do you lobby and convince someone to spend a lot of public money into these equipment when there is no strong evidence in screening for covid?
I'm not sure about Thermpast specifically since I can't find the NR, but I'm assuming it's something discreent like this other competitor (https://bc.ctvnews.ca/this-vancouver-store-now-has-the-technology-to-check-your-temperature-while-you-shop-1.4923215?cache=tzbrsjtr). This news mentions a point about privacy concerns even though this one is far more discreet and does not store data about individuals, so I'm sure you can imagine how much more of a hurdle ITSS is getting precisely because they're recording individual data. If you're a business, do you really need or want that capability and risk getting a backlash from your customers when they find out?
