Tax increases reduce reinvestment and job creation.  Old as time.

Not sure I buy that. I think it's far more complex than saying "Less taxes, means more investment". My observation is that with paying less tax, more falls to the bottom line. With low taxes, there is more incentive to go for the quick short term hits that compromise the long term sustainability of the company, all to boost the stock price so the executives can cash in on their stock options. However, one could argue, that with paying higher taxes, one is less incentivized to goose the earnings since it only pays the government, and instead invest back in the company to grow it. 
I'm not an economist, but I do challenge the neo-liberal economic theory truisms that are all too commonly accepted at face value.
