What is troubling is that several directors own an insufficient # of shares (for years). Some on this page have defended that by referring to Skippen's larger holdings (which makes no sense, because you want every board member in the game as much as possible, not just some).
Well, on May 12, Skippen's stake got 165,700 smaller. Less skin in the game.
Regardless of correlation etc, options have a dilutive effect on the public. It costs shareholders equity value.
And on your point re effect on employee performance, if you are correct, why issue any options at all? If you are correct, no dilution is necessary.
