RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Deep dive on GDNP, worth a watch The business results over the last months have been very good from the perspective of a company that wants to keep growing aggressively and become the leading plant based product platform.
We are talking about CAD65M runrate in sales for the year, last quarter the figure was~CAD32M. Considering we aren't even in June I'd venture a guess that management wants sales at or above $80M (wow!). That means by Jan 2022 there is a very real probability we are looking at $120M-$160M in forward sales, whereas the market cap today is only ~$210M. That's 6 months from now y'all. Look at the valuations for high growth and fully operational disruptive sustainability businesses...
in terms of profitability, pick your point in time and multiply sales by a net % margin, even a low 5% provides ample hockey stick profits down the line relative to today's valuation. So better to focus on growing the business as this is the time to earn a leading position in the market through scale.
GDNP is providing excellent market-focused solutions to a serious issue in society (plastic packaging waste & safety), creating a lot of value in the process. As products are being sold at similar prices as petroleum based alternatives, this means that the growth is fueled by "good natured" customers who see the value in ESG. Not only from a society perspective, but also from a purely commercial efficiency/marketing/branding perspective.
Therefore profits to shareholders of GDNP are a translation of these positive externalities in the market, and of the value add to society. Pretty cool way to make money imo.
the team is in place, the products are in place, increased output capacity is in place, high end equipment at 2x the efficiencies can be upgraded at no upfront cash cost, all their partners are also shareholders, all the employees are shareholders.
Employee stock options are at like ~1.25, stock is at ~1.11, everyone is invested in the company's success, the business model makes sense and has been thoroughly stressed and tested throughout even COVID crises.
Objectively speaking this is a great investment opportunity, and a great time to be a shareholder
