RE:ShortsThat strikes me as a somewhat dangerous short.

Aside from the fact that the stock is cheap relative to the balance sheet, there is always the possibility of a settlement announcement--which could pop the stock pretty much instantly.

Could the growing US short position reflect some kind of hedging strategy? I don't see how given that the company has no convertibles outstanding.
