Anyone remember Nord Resources?

Anyone remember Nord Resources?
Nord Resources tried to restart the Johnson Camp Mine and ended up going bankrupt in 2010.  Excelsior bought the Johnson Camp Mine from Nord, changed the name to Gunnison, and changed the mining method to in-situ.  So far, in-situ mining has been a complete disaster.  If they had stuck with traditional mining techniques, they would probably be profitable by now thanks to the current price of copper.  Instead they have a fizzy mess on their hands, kind of like when you shake up a bottle of soda and then open it.

The fizzy mess problem will never be "solved".  It is a feature of the rock.  Maybe the problem can be mitigated, but that will result in higher cost and lower production.

The Johnson Camp Mine is a company killer, and it just may claim another victim.
