COBALT still in demand

COBALT still in demand
This may not come as a surprise, but China has positioned itself as the world's key supplier of minerals that are crucial to technology that will have a vital impact on the planet in the years to come. Magnesium, lithium and cobalt, for example, are used to make electric car batteries, mobile phone components, solar panels and guided missiles.

With that in mind, the House of Commons' natural resources committee has detailed the federal government's failure to secure separate supply chains for the minerals, Jesse Snyder reports.

In other parliamentary news, the house passed controversial Bill C-10, which aims to regulate programming distributed by media streaming services and social platforms like Facebook and YouTube. Last, but not least, John Ivison takes a look at the steps Erin O'Toole might be pondering to turn the Conservative fortunes around, and difference between "brave" and "courageous."
