I remember Ivan and Peter indicating is one of the videos that the congress in Peru is so closely devided that the President will not be able to make any drastic changes. Also they indicated that this is the 5th President in 5 years to come to power. So I'm not ovely concerned at this point that anything drastic is going to happen with regards to mining. Remember that there are much bigger/powerfull/influencial mining organizations in Peru that can/will cause extream pain to the the economy if there is any drastic changes afoot. Also as indicated that mining makes up about 40% of Peru's GDP, so the powers that be may not want to ruffle too many feathers.
