Biodegradable plasic is much worse that regular plasic it decomposes into microparticles that are ingested by organisms at the low end of the foodchain and dangerously bio-accumulates up the food chain.Many groups have tried to ban these products for at least 20 years but the US and Canada have been slow to legislate the policy.This is greenwashing at its absolute worst.Some sea animals like shrimp are 50% plastic particles by weight.
