Contract NewsGatekeeper Upgrades School Bus Fleet in Indiana under PAAS Solution Business Model (via TheNewswire)
Abbotsford, BC - TheNewswire -August 16, 2021 - Gatekeeper Systems Inc. (‘Gatekeeper’ or the ‘Company’) (TSXV:GSI) (OTC:GKPRF) (FSE:1GK)a video and data solutions provider for public transportation and smart cities, is pleased to announce that the Company has been contracted by Noblesville Schools in Indiana to upgrade its fleet of approximately 128 school buses to now include stop-arm cameras under the Company’s Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) solution business model.
The PaaS solution is centered around mobile data collectors that record and analyze video, audio, GPS location and data on the school bus, and becomes the on-board intelligence platform for future applications such as passenger counting, contact tracing and more. Noblesville Schools had previously installed mobile data collectors and interior high-definition video.
“Buses are the safest way for students to get to and from school. The unfortunate part is, the danger is getting on and off”, commented Brian Zachery, Noblesville Schools Transportation Director. “We worked together with police officers and Gatekeeper over the past year to conduct trials, which were very successful. Our intent is that every school bus will be fully equipped with video inside and outside the bus to offer the best protection for schoolchildren.”
A case study of the Noblesville Schools installation is available at:

Three siblings were fatally struck in Indiana in 2019 while crossing the street to board their school bus while the stop-arm was deployed, and school districts nationwide are increasing awareness of school bus safety when children are present.
School districts are rapidly embracing video and data solutions on school buses to help provide a safer transportation environment for school children. Gatekeeper has installed more than 34,000 intelligent mobile data collectors and 100,000 video devices on school buses, for over 3,500 school district customers.
