How are the roads holding up and how's the dust control going?

From the photographs I have been sent, the road look in remarkably good condition, and the dust not really visible. I would imagine adding a heavy rainfall turns the conditions to somethng far less manageable.

All in all I am very impressed with this part of the Verde operation.  Using contractors on an as needed basis, and only paying for their time on a fully loaded basis, likely produces a higher unit cost, but you don't then have to deal with maintaining a fleet of vehicles and drivers that are not fully utilized year round. On the other hand I do recall a case study where the optimal solution was to operate your own fleet of equipment sized to meet the baseline all-year-round activity, and add contract resources as and when needed to shift up to full capacity. For example at Verde, owning and operating one back hoe year round with a full time employee at the mine pit, then adding contracted units as and when needed. Even in the slow months, the one back hoe would be in use all the time, especially addressing the site development and access road construction among other taks.

Boys and their toys - we truly never actually grow up - our toys just get bigger and so much more fun to play with.

Cheers.
