RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:When Will We Rebound? And I forgot to mention you are 100% correct on the senior homes being our best data, it was about 75% or something of the deaths in this country for the entire first year. Which is why I orginally mentioned seniors. Our government tho put the NHL playoffs in a bubble in canada and left the seniors at risk. Just to expand on that, the highest risk had no support while the lowest risk athletes had all the support. All the while telling the public everyone is at equal risk.

I never use to get the flu shot as I live a healthy lifestyle, exercise, eat well, don't smoke and so thought I was protected. Well, then I caught the flu (in my 40's) and it was horrible. If covid is as bad as they say well I want the best protection against it. Senior homes give me all the data I need.
So, I will take my chances and trust the science since covid is not going away anytime soon. Eventually, we will get to 85%-90% vax rates here so this debate will subside. But, everyone going unprotected... well they are playing roulette.

Yes I do believe that, the reality that I see in front of us right now is the narrative is "most of the new cases with the new variant are unvaxxed people" so if that's true why are the deaths so low? And it's not exactly a vaccine as all it does is lessen the chance of hospitalization and make it less severe, a vaccine is supposed to eliminate the chances of getting it. Now heres what I see happening, these flu shots which is more along the lines of what I would call it are going to wear off requiring new shots or boosters, when do we find out when this starts? More lockdowns on the horizon anyway? Idk? I'm not sure anyone knows but I'm taking a pass on the shots as I'm not going to just continuously get poked with sh1t until they get it right, I hang out with the same people, I dont do big crowds, I believe I'm doing my part distancing myself, the government and the media scream about "new waves" and "very dangerous new variants" yet it's ok to load unvaxxed children (incidentally I believe children are relatively safe however that is not the narrative their fear factory was preaching just months ago) into schools and fill stadiums again. There are just so many scenarios from get go to this day that have left common sense at the doorstep. I realize and fully understand that there are many opinions in this, I can respect anyone's opinion or choice, I have friends who are vaxxed and friends that are not, we all hang out and have since the beginning of this and for years before this, no one thinks any different of each other because we all agree that it's a choice. Our government wants to remove "choice" from us, that's the problem, it's not really about the vaccine. Turdo likes to place the title "anti vaxxer" on us because that's political for him to do, the term he should use is "anti communist" as many of the people that I've talked to vaxxed or unvaxxed can all agree that it should be a choice. The flu can kill as well, the flu shot is a choice. Jmo that's all. Tommy requires people to tell him what to do and how to act.
flamingogold wrote: Shirtless, all due respect, but seriously what is the alternative? Do we do the same as in 2020 with shutdowns and free money to stay at home? That did not solve covid. The vax is the way out of this pandemic.
Shirtlessnomore wrote: So according to Tommy we turn back the clocks and use segregation, prejudice and discrimination again in our society. That's all I'll say about it.
Tommy123 wrote: You'll get the vaccine soon, or you'll be removed from society and you'll have no rights at all. That's all I'll say on that.

This group of 70% of the population is really becoming a pain in the axx for the rest of us. That's all I'm going to say on the subject. Hopefully nobody freaks. I'll be ignoring anyone who does. Just had to get that off my chest.
