Well both Dassault 10X and Gulfstream G700 are powered by Rolls Royce. While the 2.6 billion B52 contract is big the bigger issue is that RR will have to prioritize and support USAF first. RR will support Dassault and Gulfstream but priority will be given to build engines for USAF. RR is still recovering from their Trent engine debacle which still needs resources and recovery. In my opinion this is good news for bombardier. RR has committed to too many programs and will have their hands full, and Dassault and Gulfstream are not their biggest customer. Supply chain can break or make a program. Bombardier with Passport engines will have less distraction and GE is committed to staying in the market. Watch GE work very closely with Bombardier on the few projects bombardier is working on. GE will be aggressive in retaining bombardier and market share in large bizz jet market.
