Strange sort of day

Strange sort of day Tomorrow is Ex-div , and yet today the SP was weak and seemingly under assault with some 528,000 shares traded down .11 to $8.36  neg 1.3%. . Pleased to be counted -in for the Div on Oct 8th, but left wondering what info have I missed that caused todays action to the negative?
