The Southern Border
The list goes on.
The result is plummeting poll numbers for Biden and the Democrats in general. Normally when these things happen, political parties usual put on some sort of campaign to bolster their numbers and chances of re-election. Instead, all the Biden Administration does is to keep the truth from the US people and through outright lies.
So what could be the possible explanation for this seemingly uncharacteriztic behaviour?
I have thought about this long and hard for some time and couldn't come up with an answer. This evening I had a conversation with an American friend of mine who is one of the smartest people I know. I asked him point blank "How can one explain this seemingly reckless and untypical political behaviour by the Biden Administration?"
You ready for this?
His answer was " (my name), the answer is simple. They don't care. Like the Christians in the 1st Century AD, they are missionaries to change America into their vision of the world and don't care if they die doing it. They also believe that they have little time to do it so they are in a hurry and if they can change it, they think and believe that it can't be changed back"
His answer left me speechless which for those that know me is a rare situation. Here I had been trying to come up with some deep and thoughtful explanation when the answer was he said was simple and staring me in the face.
After we finished speaking and I had time to digest what he said, I thought about what that might mean for my investments. At the moment I am overweighted in cash mainly because I think the market is overbought but his answer made me think that it might be worse than I imagined.
Not sure what I will do next but sorting that out will be a focus of mine in the coming days.
