RE:No worries, G7500 is the Best

RE:No worries, G7500 is the BestI have seen video of Gulfstream and Global 7500 videos being assembled. Bombardier uses robotics using GPS coordinates to assembley fuselage/wing/nose/tail. Gulfstream uses overhead bridge crane to mate all the parts. Why this matters? With crane method the alignment while very good is not the best. Aircraft during flight test needs to have vertical and horizontal stabilizers factory trimed while robotic alignment doesn't need it. Trimming adds drag. Robotics once programed and validated will duplicate and have same outcome. Not so much with human operator moving parts sitting tens of feet above the joining area. Bombardier embrace technology to make state of art airplanes. This is why global 7500 while maybe 5-7 years older then G7/800 still has better performance then Gulfstream's latest offering. Automation is also addressing lack of skilled assemblers available in the future.
