RE:CONSIDERATIONS ON WANAStarsearcher80 wrote: On the surface, the Wana deal seems to be good. But there are problems.
1) Contingent upon egalization in the U.S? I know this is the ultimate dream of any longs, however this will NOT happen any time soon, and will most likely be years away. They can't even push through decriminalization, and legalization is further off still, to the point that it is not really on the table...again for years to come now. Nice dream. NOT reality.
2) Good to see Klein mimic the drunken sailor spending thatt Bruce exhibited. Canopy is losing money hand over fist, and they are spending cash for this deal??? This all but seals the premise of a MASSIVE capital raise, of course with the corresponding dillution.
3) So the market is up over 500 points today, and even with this apparent "good" news", Canopy can't hold the gains. As I write this, only up a whopping 57 cents?? On such massively good news??? On a day when the dow is up over 500 points/
Take your cue from the market people. Outside of some traders getting their jollies this morning, this news release amounts to nothing more than a yawn.
Wait a minute there Star, Canadian legalization was in 2018 but Canopy started it's run in 2015, market didn't wait even though it was years down the road.
You've been right last several months, but could be wrong going forward.
