The Company provides real estate advisory services and portfolio management services, specializing in publicly traded equities and fixed-income securities, to institutional clients and private investors. It owns and manages a diversified portfolio of office, industrial, retail, multi-suite residential and hotel properties in North America. It is a significant sponsor of two real estate investment trusts (REITs): Morguard REIT, a closed-end Trust with a diversified portfolio of Canadian commercial real estate assets; and Morguard North American Residential REIT, an open-end Trust with a diversified portfolio of multi-suite residential assets across North America.

I’m in the idiot camp too.

There is a small chance that a surprise comes along. Could be the sale of a large property (Burquitlam Plaza or an enclosed mall) that suddenly lessons the weight of the retail portfolio. Or something bigger…

These other diversified REITs have all seen a catalyst come along this year:
Artis, Brookfield Property Ptrns, Cominar and HR.

I like the risk/reward of MRT from here. 2021 NOI will come in around $120 million on a IFRS portfolio of $2.5 B - very decent but will improve from here.
