As of Jun 21 financial report SIC was trading at 4.375 of book and NFG was trading at 14.672 of book.
However, their gold deposit assets are not booked yet and will not be until feasibility studies are completed. So, current price to book is not a good measure.
Current share prices are a speculative bet on what those gold deposits will be worth, how much their NPV and IRR when exploited. How knowledgeable are speculators at projecting what the future value of those deposits will be? Do they simply follow the herd. Do they study the technical reports, do comparative analysis, or use computer modelling?
Are the markets dumb at this point? Are they imperfect?
