RE:Ownership top 20, incl. Changes... source MorningstarI'm sure it's all legal. According to Canadian law, private ownership under 25% must not be declared. I couldn't find anything about corporation limits. Is the declaration law the reason Newcrest kept its ownership just under 5%?
Newcrest kept their PVG ownership as a secret as well.
The Newcrest FY 2020 report, released August 14, 2020 shows under cashflow: payment for investment in Lundin Gold ($10 in 2019 and $79 in 2020), payment for investment in SolGold ($18 in 2019) and payments for other investments ($66 in 2019 and $3 in 2020).
The $66 payment equals exactly the Newcrest ownership of 4.8% in PVG. Other, smaller investments were declared by Newcrest; why did Newcrest keep the PVG investment as a secret? What information (withheld from other shareholders) did Newcrest have access to?
