OT: When they said the rate of inflation was “historic”

OT: When they said the rate of inflation was “historic” I wondered how true that was, and what I found at:

https://www.bls.gov/charts/consumer-price-index/consumer-price-index-by-category-line-chart.htm

was that inflation spiked in 2008 to 5.6%, within 6/10ths of one percent of today’s “horrific” rate just before George W. Bush and the Republicans drove the car into the ditch.  They didn't have a global Pandemic, failing supplychains, and could just assumed climate change was a hoax.

After Obama steadied the economy, he handed off to Trump in the summer of 2016, as a continuation of Obama policies, a rate of only 0.8% which Trump over the next two years was able to triple!

These might be inconvenient facts for some, but as investors we all need to see clearly the true nature of these things.  What effects the economy effects the price of copper, and a perceived shortage in supply will be NCI’s salvation.
