Mr. Tomsett has over 25 years of experience in the mining industry, 20 years of which he served with Placer Dome Inc. Until January 2006, he served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Placer Dome Inc. prior to its acquisition by Barrick Gold Corporation. Mr. Tomsett has been a director of Silver Standard since November 2006. He is also Chairman of Equinox Minerals Ltd. and a director of Northern American Energy Partners Inc.

Siver Standard was the mining company that had Brucejack mine before Pretium was formed and bought the property.
What to you know about that.I'm trying to find out if that could be a connection to where O Brien  come in with past companies the were board members and some of them  worked for Rio tinto like pretium director Jeane Hull who started the same time as O Brien. Sandeep Biswas manageing Director and CEO of Newcrest worked at Rio Tinto.
