Yes, TreeRook, plant-based materials are a terrible problem. They are impossible to effectively compost or recycle. They do nothing to curb petroleum based products. With plant-based materials, we will never reach a closed-loop sustainable solution for our packaging needs. Even worse, I hear plant-based packaging isn't even air-tight and your muffins will dry-out. Deplorable! And that's why the bank of canada is a proud shareholder of GDNP, because plant-based materials are NOT the solution.
