RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Last weekGood points lastpick. I almost never use the market order but even the limit order can sometimes have its negatives.
I remember when Algoma Steel was tottering into bankruptcy. I had a limit order well under the current price which I thought reasonable given it had traded there a week or two earlier. I was away from my computer the day I got my fill and the same the day Algoma declared their common stock worthless and announced a new issue to replace it.
Of course there is always the chance that someone else might not know the news that I could sell to. But as the stock never moved off zero I concluded that I was the absolute last person to know. Perhaps the moral of this story is that as investors we are much like bugs that fly in the night, -into any old web to have our brains sucked out despite our best efforts to prevent it!
But not to lose the thread of the GSI trade at .455. that person did fractionally better than my sad day with Algoma. I hope you appreciate the humour.
