Random thoughts - all IMHOBest to ignore all the arm-chair CEOs posting on this board who have never turned around anything more valuable than their bicycle, let alone a multi-billion$ corporation - their opinions are not worth the dust under their feet.
I am all for a multiplicity of views, but they have to be grounded in fact, not fiction.
As for the dedicated long term shareholders, it is best to keep loading up for the eventual rise in share price whenever it occurs - all I know is that when the price starts to rise, it could possible rise by the current share price on a daily basis to catch up to, and attain its true market value and then some. I know I am well prepared for this eventual event!
As for the sale of the patents - I think if the sale happens, it will be for ~500-600 million $s with a 7 year tail of ~150-200 million $s annually. If the FB settlement is built into the deal, then price and annual $s could possibly be a bit higher. Those expecting a multi-billion $ sale price are likely to be disappointed (I will be most happy to be proved wrong)!
I obviously don't know, but strongly feel that the sale of the patents will be announced on Monday as it is likely to be a material event that cannot be delayed. If it is not announced on Monday, there is a chance that it has fallen apart, or still being negotiated.
If the patents deal falls apart, then all is not lost because BB will go after current and past offenders for retroactive license payments which will boost future revenue substantially.
