Apartment REITs and Industrials have performed very well in price for close to 3 years now. The latest shift appears to be in the higher yielding mixed REITS, like HR, REI, SRU, as selling off, or spinning off assets, is bringing out much higher valuations. Demand still very tight in Canada for rental units, affordable housing, industrial space. The shift to mix use these properties, even top of offices or retail buildings, into housing units, is really bringing in staggering amounts.
