RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:We are # 1 I put no value in the statistics re traded volume. Its "fun with statistics " at best. Very misleading at worst. It's not apparent what exactly is counted, whether every broker reports on the same basis, or at all, whether the data is audited by iiroc or any other regulator ( the short position as at data is persistently audited by iiroc). I've seen some crazy reports using that data.Like bank and other large caps shares that show short volumes of 20,30,40% of all trading volume. Just make no sense. See link to bce with short sales reportedly as high as 48% of all reported trades were short trades over one semi monthly period? The latest trading volume stats show bns had 41% of all trades were short trades. Um, nope. Impossible. There are just too many potential inconsistencies. The "as at" a fixed date short position, and the change in it from prior fixed dates, is far more reliable to me.

short volume o/s at a point in time is of little value because shorters can close position before reporting date. Watch the short volume traded over 2 week periods.....

It's not short able by you (I'm assuming) nor I (I know) because no broker in Canada will allow me or any other retail investor to short a stock that's less than $1.00. I've tried with several stocks at 4 different brokers. A hedge fund maybe able to as long as they can find a borrow. But yeah the short position has never been very big compared to the average daily volume at least as far back as I looked into last June. The short position is published twice a month at the iiroc web site. Here is link to Dec 31.

I do not know if this stock is shortable. Does anyone know the outstanding short position?
Technicals don't mean much on a stock like this but there are some positives that we can take from the last few sessions.
Since the new year and tax loss selling ended the SP has rallied. That rally seems to have some momentum as today we traded over 13 million shares 3 times the the previous two sessions!
All this upward momentum has got the price above both the 20 day and 50 day moving average. These are both positive indicators.
On a fundamental basis I am liking the clearer communication and boardroom changes.
I think it is all these things coming together.....I have no idea how far this will carry us...it could even be over... But I am long this company....I have 5% of my savings in it
