What I heard, from a friend active in the industry is this.

The ruling recognized the cumulative impact of the oil + gas development. This is what is being discussed, because it is recognized as a cumulative impact, its not only new production projects that have been thrown into question, but also historical projects and how they contribute to the cumulative impact.

Some suggesting is that Treaty8 want to be recognized as new projects go forward, but they want compensation for the impact of the past.

So this may take some time, its not just the Blueberry tribe causing trouble any more, they have had all the treaty8 people jumping on the band wagon.
