Alternate Symbol(s):  NTCPF

Northisle Copper and Gold Inc. is a sustainable mineral resource company. It owns the North Island Project, which is a copper and gold porphyry project in Canada. The North Island Project is located near Port Hardy, British Columbia on a more than 34,000-hectare block of mineral titles 100% owned by the Company stretching 50 kilometers (km) northwest from the now closed Island Copper Mine operated by BHP Billiton. The claim block includes two defined resources at Hushamu and Red Dog, and numerous additional copper and gold porphyry targets. The Hushamu Deposit is a high-level telescoped porphyry copper-gold- molybdenum system containing a significant rhenium content. The Pemberton Hills target is within a 6.5 km long by 1.5 km thick area of high-level, advanced argillic alteration within Mesozoic-age andesitic volcanic rocks in an early-stage exploration zone. The North Island Project includes several relatively untested targets, including Northwest Expo, Goodspeed and Macintosh.

discusses
mine plans
By Kathy O’Reilly

a decision on whether to proceed with a
mine in 2026.
If the decision is yes, building the
mine would take about two and half
years and about 1,000 construction
workers. Once open the mine would
employ 500 people, said Nicholas Van
Dyk, Northisle chief financial offi-
cer, at the Regional District of Mount
Waddington Board of Directors meet -
ing Jan. 18. Van Dyk was joined by
Michelle Tanguay, Northisle’s head of
sustainability and community relations.
Appearing as a delegation, Northisle
first gave the board an overview of their
exploration project and expressed their
desire to establish strong relationships
with rights holders associated with the
mineral tenure where they are propos -
ing a project. Northisle Copper & Gold
“has been in the region since 2010” and
has been conducting mineral explora -
tion in varying degrees over the years
authorized under the Mines Act Notice
of Work process, Tanguay said.
“The project itself is northeast of Hol-
berg considerably west of the old Island
Copper project area,” she said.
