But also has the effect of hurting those already invested in VPT. Not only the negative effects of your posts have on them but also the negative effect of not adding new investors in the company.
From what you write I get the impression you are very detailed in your research of a company you are going to possibility invest in. That's smart of you and I do not think anyone would fault you for doing your DD.
What I am saying is why are you sharing it with existing investors knowing it's going to have a negative effect on their investment and the company? You have never posted anything positive about VPT! And your negative posts have always driven the stock price down. Just like today!
Anyway I figured out long ago you cannot win against people like you. You have an agenda and there isn't anything that is going to change it.
Well, actually there is. I sold this morning!
Some of what you say is fair.
From my perspective, I feel confident in buying and holding, if the data supports my purchase.
I bought VISA after IPO, and held even during the Durban conundrum, buying more because I could see through the clouds. That was helped by massive growth in FCF, a near monopoly, and the recognition that regulation wouldn't destroy only hinder at most.
Talking about the downside to me-is beneficial, and I enjoy the interaction, even , and especially seeing different views, because I want to challenge my thinking.
I dont want to lose capital long term.
Havin g people agree with me is dangerous if I am wrong.
Turns out it was a 10 bagger-so I learned to trust myself there.
So I guess we seei it differently- but I hear you.
Look, if there isn't anyone that wants to discuss, I am fine with reducing my posting to a minimum and will.
I looked at these boards as discussion boards-but it seems they reinforce positive views only, and rational data driven discussion isn't welcome.
I will come back when there is data-financial data-hopefully to discuss in an constructive way.
If not then I will come back when the final story isn't written
And if this turns around and it takes off-I wont be sour grapes-I will applaud those who won, and may buy if the numbers look good.
If not-you will see I wont rub salt in the wound-but in the end a lessons learned is useful either way.
I will say I say this now because you are being reasonable, and not just throwing insults and bullying which has the opposite effect.
OK
Time to move on-look forward to some data-sales
