RE:RE:Today Yes so do many of my friends! They'd also have a lot more help if the mandates weren't there. But thank you for showing you're reading with emotions not eyes . I never said vaccines haven't helped. Science says the mandates no longer do.
Also I'm sick of hearing of this "pay if you get sick". I understand we're all very tired of this, but that's no excuse to be as ignorant as newbie or Sid. Let me explain the ways
1. The vast majority of people have yet to even catch covid (cases are under 10%). The vast majority of the vast minority who get covid require no extra care or hospital .
2. Regardless the stat that shows increased likelihood of an unvaccinated person needing hospital care, the historians happen to be full of many vaccinated people. This doesn't event factor in that in many places like BC case counts include people in hospital for a different reason who just happen to have covid or catch it while there.
3. Most people , vaccinated or otherwise have a whole host of medical issues that out the so called drain on our healthcare resources. You don't get to even think of saying someone who gets sick should pay until you add smokers, drinkers, anyone getting in a car accident, family history of heart issues/cancer etc, and every fat a$$ who can't seem to put down the bucket of chicken.
4. Personally I'm not only in top 5 -10% of wage earners in Canada (meaning far more taxes paid than 90-95% of Canada ) but I've also only gone to the doctor maybe a half a dozen times in a decade or more. I could catch covid twice and have cancer once and still be less of a drain on healthcare proportionally to what I've put in than 80% + of the population.
Again I don't remeber saying covid is any kind of joke or that people shouldn't take the oreacaruons they feel they need to have too. I'm saying that science is saying that the mandates themselves no longer care . It's almost like covid is going to infect almost whomever it's going to infect and affect worse whomever it's going to affect worse. Thank goodness we have things like vaccines to give those of us who feel we need it that extra protection. Many of you, and I say this with all due respect , are very selfish. You'd trade other peoples actual lives and livelihoods for the hope that what you've been told is accurate. It's shameful really.
instead wouldn't it be much easier to either show the data that supports these mandates being benifical or get rid of them ?
