RE:WHEN Russia defaults

RE:WHEN Russia defaults

don't worry about western banks, they will get bailout once more on our dimes

The fallout from $121 billion loan defaults will hurt the liquidity of specific banks ($20 billion for Soc Gen for example) but I don't think the carnage ends there for the banking industry or the world economy in general.

There are going to be ripple effects and reprecussions that nobody has figured out.

Businesses around the world are going to have to pull back and reassess.

Countries are likely going to have to rethink relationships in terms of Red Pill or Blue Pill.

Oil, as the real currency of the world, will certainly protect Suncor shareholders but I'm not so sure that it will be enough to keep portfolios bouyant.

Buffet is famous for his belief in "never bet against America".  I hope he is right, but FOMO is not at the top of my investing objectives these days.
