Ultimately I like this news long term.  It prevents the immediate demand destruction and might help prevent a recession while stabilizing oil prices at least for a while.  I prefer a slow rise to the current volatility.  This gives every oil company a reason not to expand production.  It will prolong this oil bull run.  The longer Biden and Trudeau put climate policy ahead of increasing supply in North America, the more the remaining Canadian energy companies will profit and so will shareholders.
