Septa ALE - Bus Revolution PlanSepta's ALE implementation is part of their 3 Year "Bus Revolution" plan. We're in year two, 2023 being the implementation year. The focus is on Priority Bus Lanes. This is Septa's top priority and I think they agree, automated enforcement is necessary for the success of their bus revolution plan.
Philly representative, Republican Martina White was added to the Septa Board about a year ago. White was the one who introduced Automated Bus Lane enforcement legislation in 2020. She's a big advocate for it. Septa then launched a pilot project with Gatekeeper.
Cameras/DVRs are installed first. ALE is just a software and management program that uses the existing installed equipment that can be added at a later date.
