Why are we happy? Well, first - we upgraded and created data on our battery metals property, data which we will leverage to create value. How can that not make someone happy? As you can see, without being a geophysicist, the pink magnetic anomaly, which we know is the nickel/cobalt/PGE bearing ultramafic body in the ~20km Victoria trend at Surimeau, pops nicely and is consistent. That alone is a reason for a happy dance. Build into that the EM data, a technique that can see sulphides to a depth of perhaps 50m, which gives us anomalies coincident with the mag high, and also in the lower mag. What does it mean? Well, that is why we do exploration. But we do know we have the ultramafic body juxtaposed against the VMS body, we see it is drilling and we see it in the surface area we stripped...now we see it clearly in the geophysics. I am intrigued. Particularly because we are also chasing the copper/zinc VMS, and that we are doing without the benefit of the distinct magnetism the ultramafic gives us. The question I have for our geophysicists, once they get into this brand new data, is what the lower mag in the shoulders of the ultramafic coincident with a strong EM anomaly means. Of course - the answer will come from our geologists with a drill, though perhaps inversions will shed some light. We will drill in order to get a better idea of what the Victoria structure holds. Stay tuned for both. My comment about the VMS exploration - we do have Dr. Franklin in the background assessing the chemical pathfinders for VMS, do not worry. So the VMS fans can take comfort in that, it is very much a target too, just a bit more elusive. |
